Do you need to change your Spotify account password? If you know your password, you'll need to use the Spotify website on your mobile or desktop browser. If you forgot or lost your password, you'll need to reset it. Currently, there's no way to change or reset your password on the Spotify mobile app or desktop app, so you'll need to use a web browser. This wikiHow will show you how to change and reset your password using the Spotify website on your Windows, Mac, iPhone, or Android device.

  1. Go to https://www.spotify.com and sign in. You'll need to use a mobile or desktop browser. Regardless of Spotify premium status, you can't change your password using the mobile app or desktop app.

    • Click Log in in the top-right corner, and enter your username or email and password. Click Log in again.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner. This will open a drop-down menu.

  1. Go to http://www.spotify.com/password-reset in a desktop or mobile browser. You'll see a field for your email address or username.[1]

  2. Type your Spotify username or email address in the field. Be sure to use the email address associated with your Spotify account.

  5. Enter a new password in the labeled fields. Make sure to use a secure password that you can remember.
